MKE Kit Project assembles and distributes survival backpacks to our Milwaukee neighbors experiencing homelessness. Every kit is a lifeline.
On any given night, thousands of people in Milwaukee face the elements without shelter, without supplies, and without certainty that anyone sees them. The MKE Kit Project exists to change that.
We build survival kits packed with essentials: hygiene supplies, food, warmth, and resources. We get them directly into the hands of people who need them most. Adult kits, women's kits, and children's kits, each thoughtfully assembled for the person who'll carry it.
This is a grassroots effort. No corporate overhead. No bureaucracy. Just neighbors taking care of neighbors.
Read Our StoryHomelessness doesn't happen to other people. It happens to our neighbors, people who grew up on these streets who know this city as well as any of us. They deserve dignity. They deserve to be seen.
The MKE Kit ProjectCommunity members, businesses, and organizations donate the items that go into each kit. Every single item makes a direct difference.
Volunteers pack adult, women's, and children's kits, each one built for the specific needs of the person who'll receive it.
Completed kits go directly to Milwaukee neighbors experiencing homelessness. No middleman. No waiting. Just help.
We're actively seeking item donations for our current round of kits. See what we need and reach out to coordinate a drop-off or pick-up.
